Wolfgang Bloch

Vice President / Head of Environmental & Safety Department, Siemens AG

Wolfgang Bloch was born 1953 in Essen (Germany). He finalized his study on mineralogy/chemistry at the University at Erlangen with the degree “diplom- mineralogist” and graduated to a PhD in geochemistry.

1986 – 1998 : Vacuumschmelze GmbH (metal melting company)
1998 – 2003 : Infineon Technologies
since 2001 : ZVEI member of the environmental policy committee
since 2003 : Siemens AG Corporate Department Environmental Affairs & Technical Safety focused on: product policy (EuP, IPP, WEEE/RoHS), implementation of environmental conscious product design (including energy efficiency), REACH, climate change, industrial environmental protection and global environmental policy and governance Responsible for the „ Siemens Global Environmental Program“ and the „Environmental Portfolio“
2005 Member of the ERT (European Round Table) Environmental Group
2006 Laureate of the Environmental Price “Environmental Manager” assigned by B.A.U.M.
2007 Member of the BDI-Initiative „Business for Climate
