Pierre Dartout

Interministerial Delegate of the Agency for Attractiveness Development and Competitiveness (DATAR)

A Graduate from the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA), Pierre Dartout held several high-management positions in ministerial offices during his career (Ministry of the Interior, Ministry for Overseas) and has played a key role at a regional level, especially overseas. Indeed, he was Director of the Prefect’s office of Vendée, General Secretary for regional affairs of La Réunion, Director of the Prefect’s office of Pays-de-la-Loire region, General Secretary of the Calvados’ prefecture, and was State’s representative. He has been Prefect in several departments and regions since 1994 : Guyane region, Pyrénées-Orientales, Drôme, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Var departments.

In July 2007, he became Director of the President’s office of the National Assembly. In April 2008, he was appointed by the Prime Minister as Interministerial Delegate for Territorial Development and Competitiveness (DIACT then, today DATAR).
