Erik Freudenthal
Manager, Stockholm Glashusett
Erik Freudenthal worked as as parish assistant in the Swedish Seamen’s Mission, in the costumer services at American Express, in charge of all the computers in a small company and project leader in a computer education firm. He was also employed by the Stockholm Water Company within their personnel department.
He works now as the manager in the environmental information centre GlashusEtt which is situated right in the middle of Hammarby Sjöstad. This new city area is Stockholm’s largest urban development project for many years.
The fundamental thinking behind the planning process was to show how to develop this inner city area further and regenerate an old industrial and docklands area into a modern sustainable urban environment. GlashusEtt is the meeting point to learn more about the Hammarby Model and the environmental programme which has been done and being implemented in the area.
