Ilkka Lakaniemi
Head GLPolitical Dialogue and Initiative Nokia Siemens Networks (TBC)
Ilkka Lakaniemi is in charge of policy towards multinational organizations such as the OECD, the UN and is responsible of corporate initiatives. He is also Nokia Siemens Networks-representative at international and national strategy councils and industry associations. He functions as a corporate economist with interest in the socio-economic impact of ICT. At Nokia, he has been in charge of special projects and analyses in corporate venturing, strategic marketing and corporate foresight.
He is a Visiting Professor at the Helsinki School of Economics and a Fellow at the Finnish Business and Policy Forum. Prior to Nokia, he has been a Visiting Scholar at the University of California at Berkeley, a Research Associate at the United Nations University and at the Academy of Finland. He is a graduate of University of Helsinki and the University of Edinburgh.
