René Ricol

René Ricol founded Ricol Lasteyrie in 1987 leader of independent financial expertise in France. He has played an active role in the works of professional authorities, President of the Compagnie des Commissaires aux Comptes from 1985 to 1989 and President of the Ordre des Experts Comptables from 1994 to 1998, elected in October 1997 to the board of the International Federation of Chartered Accountants (IFAC) then chairman from 2002 to 2004. Drawing lessons from financial scandals, he worked with international regulators to initiate and implement an in-depth reform of the international accounting profession. Author of a report to the President of the French Republic related to the financial crisis, René Ricol was then appointed in October 2008 as National Credit Mediator. In January 2010, he was appointed General Commissioner for Public Investment to work closely with the Prime Minister.
