A family business with most of its capital held in France, Lucien Barrière Hôtels and Casinos currently operates 40 casinos and 16 luxury hotels as well as 100 restaurants including the famous Fouquet’s restaurant in Paris. The company employs 7,500 people and each year in its premises, 473,000 overnight stays are made, 3 million tables are served and 2,300 shows are held. Our casinos have a total of over 6,000 slot machines and 400 games tables.
Dominique Desseigne is the chairman of the group’s Supervisory Board and its Strategic Committee, and is also Chairman of the Société Fermière du Casino Municipal de Cannes (SFMC).

The company has put in place the following three major action plans which define its expansion strategy:
- consolidate and build on its position as leader in the luxury hotels and resorts sector
- become the number one name for casinos in Europe
- increase growth in France and abroad, whilst guaranteeing the group’s solid financial position.
Lucien Barrière Hôtels and Casinos have already embarked on these expansion plans with the recent opening of the Naoura Barrière in Marrakesh (February 2009), a new casino in Blotzheim in the Alsace region (in the ‘three borders’ region, in November 2008), the launch of the lecroupier.com games website in England, a brand new purpose built hotel-casino in Lille plus a new hotel resort in Ribeauvillé.
